Typical A/C complaints on new vehicles: A/C does not blow as cold as when the vehicle was new.

Common symptoms: customer trying to cool the vehicle with outside air (in fresh air mode).
There is a 10 degree F temp difference between recirculation and fresh air mode in most cases (recirculation or max A/C being the coldest setting).

The easiest way to remember how to cool your vehicle quickly and more effectively is to remember:

1. When vehicle has been resting in the heat, always first roll down all windows to relieve the hot air.

2. Always start with operating A/C in fresh air mode, as it is much more effective for the evaporator to cool 110 degree air rather than 165 degree interior air.

3. As cool air starts coming from the vents, roll up the windows, switch A/C mode to max A/C or recirculation.

4. After the vehicle has been driving for 30 minutes and is cooled off, reset the A/C mode back to fresh air. This will help prevent a musty odor from being produced.

5. Other things to remember is that A/C temps will rise 5-8 degrees when sitting at idle or during slow traffic, due to the lack of Ram Air flowing through the A/C condenser.
