ToyotaĀ Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Our descriptions of 10 common dashboard warning lights can help you quickly understand when your car has issues that require attention. These indicators span a spectrum of urgency, but all of them are important.

Airbag Fault
Despite its title, this indicator connects to your auto's secondary restraint system. The SRS includes your airbag and seat belt components. A fault in this system could cause improper deployment. For your safety, have this problem repaired soon.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
Set a rule for yourself. If you see this light, immediately stop for gasoline. This light indicates a minimal amount of fuel in your tank.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
This indicator tells you that your oil level is low or the system that circulates your oil needs repair. Check your oil level and add oil if necessary. If you find an acceptable oil level, book a repair appointment with us.

Service Vehicle Soon
This warning indicator notifies you to book a service appointment. At your appointment, we'll change your oil and filter, and we'll likely rotate your tires. Depending on your car's total mileage, it may require other wear-based maintenance. We can handle any maintenance need.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
Every modern car sold in the United States has this feature. The indicator alerts you to low tire-air pressure. This is an unsafe condition, so check your tires, and add needed air. Should you find sufficient air in your tires, this indicator means you need your TPMS sensors replaced.

Slip Indicator
If you lose traction on winter roads or loose pavement, for example, the appropriate traction feature will engage. These features usually include traction control and electronic stability control. They're engaged whenever your light rapidly flashes. If the light activates while you have full traction, then your traction system needs service.

Charging System Warning Light
Familiarly, this indicator has a battery image on its light. While it can indicate a battery problem, it can also mean you need to replace your alternator or another component of your charging system. Our service technicians can reliably address the problem for you.

Brake System
You have an issue within a braking-related component if this light appears. For a short distance, you can safely drive your car. We suggest you drive it to us for repair.

Open Door Warning Light
This light glows to inform you of an open door. Safely secure your doors before you drive.

Coolant Level Warning
Internal combustion engines create high temperatures, so they need specialized coolant. If your coolant level diminishes, you have a leak or a pump-related problem. Never drive a car with low coolant. Seek immediate repairs to avoid costly damage.
