What's New For the 2020 Toyota C-HR?
As a Toyota subcompact crossover SUV offering, the C-HR has enjoyed three consecutive model years of production so far. The 2020 model has its own set of improvements, which include the introduction of Android Auto smartphone integration and a trial SiriusXM satellite radio subscription as standard amenities.
2020 C-HR Trims & Features
The 2020 C-HR is split into three trims: LE, XLE, and Limited. Inside the vehicle are two rows of seats to accommodate up to five people. Passenger space is measured at 86 cubic feet, while cargo space is measured at 19.1 cubic feet. The sport fabric-trimmed front row comprises 6-way bucket seats with sport bolsters, and the fabric-trimmed rear seatback can be folded down to expand cargo space at up to 37 cubic feet. Leather trim replaces the urethane on the steering wheel when you upgrade to the XLE or Limited. Only Limited has leather-trimmed seats from front to back.
For comfort and convenience, the C-HR-in addition to the previously mentioned Android Auto and SiriusXM radio service-starts with features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, a 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display, remote keyless entry, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Amazon Alexa compatibility, Bluetooth wireless technology, six-speaker audio with AM/FM radio, a USB port to hook up portable devices, voice recognition, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The XLE and Limited have their remote keyless entry system upgraded to a smart key system with push-button engine start.

2020 Toyota C-HR Horsepower
Under the hood of the Toyota C-HR is a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, which produces 144 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque. The engine is hitched to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which eschews the gear-shifting mechanism of traditional transmissions for a smoother gearless feel. In addition, the CVT contributes to delivering a better-than-average fuel economy rating: 27 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
2020 C-HR Safety
Most of the 2020 Toyota C-HR safety features are packaged into two suites: the Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) and the Star Safety System. TSS-P offers a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control.
The Star Safety System combines vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock braking, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and smart stop technology. A 10-airbag system, an integrated backup camera, SafetyConnect (for services such as automatic collision notification, 24/7 emergency assistance, and stolen vehicle locator), hill start assist control and the no-cost ToyotaCare maintenance plan with 24-hour roadside assistance. A blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert is added on the XLE and Limited.
