The Scion iA has been reborn and officially crowned the 2017 Toyota Yaris iA. The name change was made due to the dissolution of the Scion brand; however, the new model still stays true to its roots, offering many of the same amenities, safety features and performance as its predecessor. This doesn’t completely stand true for the styling, which has been slightly modified, appearing to be more dramatic than ever before.

A great addition to the Yaris lineup, the iA has just about anything you could ever want in a subcompact sports sedan. Its exterior design is eye-catching, featuring distinct headlights, a hexagonal grille, chrome grille surround, piano black bumper and chrome tailpipe that complements a wide range of paint color options. The interior is just as mesmerizing and comes with soft-touch surfaces, chrome accents and a collection of excellent technologies, including a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with voice recognition, Bluetooth, Pandora, Aha, Stitcher and optional navigation.

Safety is also a big part of the 2017 Yaris iA. It is outfitted with a rearview camera, a Low-Speed Pre-Collision system, front side airbags and a brake override system. On the powertrain front, it gets a 1.5L four-cylinder engine, delivering 106 horsepower, which is paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The automatic produces the best fuel economy numbers: an EPA-estimated 32 city, 40 highway and 35 combined.
