Howl-O-Ween is home to all things merry, scary and a little bit hairy! There are plenty of activities and attractions for all ages at this popular Phoenix event. If a safe, family-friendly night at the zoo sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the holiday, then head on down to the Phoenix Zoo the last weekend of October.
For two nights, the zoo will be full of frights and delights from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For those who prefer light-hearted fun appropriate for all ages, the merry activities are a real treat. Travel along the trick-or-treat trail and the great pumpkin pathway full of unique jack-o-lanterns, or take a ride around the scare-ousal. The merry activities also include character meet and greets, carnival games, interactive animal exhibits and much more.
Older children and adults seeking more thrills are sure to enjoy the zoo’s scary festivities. There are several spine-tingling attractions, such as the Walking Dead Way, Vampires Awakening and the Clown Asylum, so get ready to scream! Another popular haunt is the Urban Legend Lane, which houses some of the scariest characters you didn’t think existed.
General admission tickets start at $12, and kids 2 and under are free. Some exhibits do have additional fees, so it’s recommended to bring extra pocket money along. A full list of events is available on the Phoenix Zoo’s website.
