Toyota Trailhunter Lineup Announced at SEMA

For more than 60 years, Toyota (NYSE: TM) has contributed to the cultural life of the United States. Through Toyota and Lexus brands and roughly 1,500 dealerships, the automaker is dedicated to advancing sustainable, next-generation mobility.

More electrified vehicles than any other carmaker were sold in the United States in 2021, accounting for a quarter of total sales.

Toyota inaugurated its virtual education hub at www.TourToyota.com with an immersive experience and the option to visit several production plants virtually to encourage the next generation to pursue careers in STEM-based subjects, including mobility. The partnerships with the Toyota USA Foundation, the hub also offers several free STEM-based activities, curriculum, virtual field excursions, and other resources.

Toyota's Announcement

At the 2022 Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association Show, Toyota unveiled the Trailhunter Concept, which included the new Trailhunter line of trucks (SEMA). Toyota's dedication to the off-roading community will grow thanks to Trailhunter. It will further cement the company's all-terrain reputation. Under the Trailhunter brand, Toyota intends to provide specially designed trucks and SUVs to outdoor enthusiasts who yearn for off-the-grid trips. To encourage and support modifications of Toyota trucks with Toyota Genuine or Associated Accessory Products equipment across the portfolio, Trailhunter will act as a flagship offering.

The Toyota Trailhunter line of vehicles will be capable rigs built on the company's well-proven trucks and SUVs. The brand-new Trailhunter product range is created to satisfy the needs of outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy traveling by car. Toyota's in-house designed and built Trailhunter vehicles will be adventure ready right out of the box, offering a trail-ready pickup with parts and gear that support an isolated, off-the-grid experience.

Toyota's vision of what this new truck would look like right off the dealer lot, with optional Associated Accessory Products, is displayed in the Trailhunter concept car. A Trailhunter-specific suspension system, skid plates, a roof rack, bumpers, lighting, a refrigerator, a rooftop tent, and more are all included in the prototype vehicle on show at the 2022 SEMA Show. These features were all built expressly for overlanding applications. Future Trailhunter products are expected to provide enthusiasts with terrain adaptability, protection, load-bearing capability, and storage capacity for their kit, recovery gear, and base camp essentials.
