Toyota Performance Features

One of Toyota’s flagship sedans, the Corolla, gets some notable performance enhancements in 2024. This year, the Corolla has a strong engine that produces up to 169 horsepower. This engine is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission that has overdrive technology. If you’re looking for a sportier Toyota, the GR86 also has some notable performance updates for the 2024 model year. This year’s GR86 is powered by a 2.4L engine with four cylinders with 228 horsepower. Toyota’s trucks also have some updates to their performance features in 2024. The Tacoma now has a hybrid powertrain for improved efficiency, and the Tundra has a suspension lift kit and off-road packages available on select trims. The Sequoia features an off-road package that can enhance models with four-wheel drive.

Toyota Technology Updates

Along with performance improvements, Toyota’s cars also have some notable new technology and safety features in 2024. Across the board, many of Toyota’s vehicles have a Toyota Safety Sense package of advanced safety aids. This package includes a lane departure alert, a pre-collision avoidance system, pedestrian detection, radar-based cruise control, road sign assist, proactive driving assist, and automatic high beams. A multi-terrain monitor and panoramic view camera are other notable 2024 safety aids available on some Toyota vehicles. The Toyota Crown also has a front cross-traffic alert, traffic jam assist, and lane change assist.

Some Toyota vehicles have larger displays and upgraded technology. The Mirai now gets a standard 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch multimedia display screen. While some Toyota vehicles have standard wireless phone charging, the Corolla Cross, depending on the trim, is equipped with an updated Qi wireless charging device. The RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid have a standard Rear Activity Mount in 2024, expanding the car’s carrying capacity. The GR Corolla has trim-specific upgrades, including a JBL sound system on the Circuit Edition.
