The 2017 Toyota Tundra Is One Tough Truck

For power, comfort and serious off-roading capabilities, the 2017 Toyota Tundra in Phoenix is the way to go. Available in six trims - SR, SR5, TRD Pro, Limited, Platinum and a 1794 Edition - the Tundra is well-equipped at each grade. Power-wise, the full-size truck packs a powerful V8 that comes in two configurations. Keep reading to learn all about this dynamic workhorse that is ready to take your drives to new heights.

Thoughtfully Designed

Aside from its various trim options, the Tundra is offered in three body styles: regular cab, extended double cab and the CrewMax crew cab. Crew-cab models provide seating for up to six, depending on if you choose front buckets or a bench seat. Standards on the best-selling Toyota pickup include 18-inch steel wheels, heated power mirrors, keyless entry, a damped tailgate and daytime running lights.

Inside, the truck makes driving to work or the beach exciting. That's because it comes with a variety of high-end features that are designed to make life easier, as noted by 2017 Toyota Tundra reviews. They include a six-speaker sound system with a 6.1-inch touchscreen, USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, power accessories and a 40/20/40-split bench seat for easier storage.

Off-road tires, an off-road suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers, four movable bed tie-down cleats and more can be had on the TRD Pro. SR5, Limited and 1794 Edition trims can be equipped with a variety of off-road gear when fitted with the TRD Off-Road package. The equipment includes skid plates, tow hooks, trail-tuned shock absorbers and off-road tires.

Engine Options

You'll be hard-pressed to find a single 2017 Toyota Tundra review that doesn't praise the truck's exquisite engine designs. A 310-horsepower 4.6-liter V8 that makes 327 pound-feet of torque is standard on all SR5 and SR extended-cab trims. All other models come with a more powerful 5.7-liter V8, which is good for 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant is optional on all SR5 grades. Towing capacity tops out at 10,500 pounds when properly equipped.

Safety First

Every 2017 Toyota Tundra in Phoenix gets standard antilock brakes, trailer sway control, stability and traction control, side curtain airbags, front knee airbags and a rearview camera that makes parking problems a thing of the past. SR5 and Limited models can be had with parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert and a blind-spot monitoring unit as optional.
