A Leading Large Sedan in Phoenix

The 2018 Toyota Avalon is one of the most popular cars on the road today. Large, commanding and powerful, the Avalon is one car that you just can't help but notice!

This model year, the Avalon is carrying over most of its impressive features list, meaning that drivers will continue to find exceptional technology, a dynamic driving feel and top-of-the-line safety.

What Are the Models of the 2018 Avalon?

There are two variations of the 2018 Avalon available: gas-powered and hybrid. The standard gas-powered Avalon comes in five trim levels: XLE, XLE Plus, XLE Premium, Touring and Limited, while the Avalon Hybrid comes in XLE Plus, XLE Premium and Limited.

Base features on the Avalon XLE include smoked LED taillights, Toyota's Smart Key System, dual chrome-tipped integrated exhausts, a leather-trimmed tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel with paddle shifters, Toyota's Entune system, a wood-grain interior trim, smoked chrome accents, dual-zone automatic climate control and leather-trimmed heated front seats.

The XLE Premium trim (popular with many 2018 Avalon reviews) adds even more exciting luxury features like wireless smartphone charging and an Entune Premium Audio system with navigation, while the range-topping Avalon Limited gets everything from 18-inch Super Chrome alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers and premium perforated leather-trimmed front seats to a JBL audio system, a power rear-window sunshade and white ice ambient interior lighting.

Hybrid model features vary slightly based on trim, so speak with your Camelback Toyota salesperson to find out which is right for you!

A Powerful V6 Engine Under the Hood

All gas-only models of the 2018 Avalon near Biltmore and Arcadia are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces a very nice 268 horsepower. The powertrain is rounded out by a six-speed automatic transmission, which gives the Avalon a very smooth and comfortable ride.

If you choose the Avalon Hybrid, you'll find a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine under the hood, which outputs a net power of 200 horses. This system is completed by an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT), which, yet again, offers excellent ride quality.

High-Tech Safety for Valley Families

The standard safety features on the 2018 Avalon are also very impressive, thanks to Toyota's Star Safety system as well as its Toyota Safety Sense P package, which comes with advanced safety amenities like a pre-collision system, automatic high beams, lane departure alert and dynamic radar cruise control.
