What's New For the 2019 Toyota Sequoia?

In 2019, the Sequoia is back and better than ever. All it needed this year were a few minor improvements and updates to its interior and exterior to keep loyal Toyota fans satisfied. New and noteworthy exterior changes include LED lights that give the SUV a bolder look and enhance its visibility. Depending on the trim level you choose, the lights have multiple settings to allow for optimal lighting based on the surrounding environment. Inside, the Sequoia is ready to meet today's customers' demands for infotainment and connectivity. A 6.1-inch infotainment display comes standard, and it is available with navigation in select models. There is also a USB charging port in the car to keep devices charged and ready for use. Standard in all trim levels, including the base model, is Toyota's comprehensive safety package with a variety of driver aids.

2019 Toyota Sequoia New Features and Highlights

In 2019, the Toyota Sequoia is available in four trim levels. Starting with the base model, they are the SR5, the TRD, the Limited, and the premier Platinum. The SR5 comes standard with the 6.1-inch infotainment display screen, a cavernous trunk to store cargo, and a seating configuration to comfortably seat up to eight passengers. This trim level has parking sensors in the front and back to help you reverse and park with confidence and ease. Cloth seats are standard in the base model.

Next up is the TRD Sport. This versatile SUV gets a sportier look and design with a sport-tuned suspension. The TRD Sport builds on the base model's amenities with multi-setting headlights that can be adjusted to perform in low light conditions. The lights are also fully LED for optimal visibility and safety. The TRD Sport rides on higher 20-inch wheels, and it has more chrome accents in the form of a distinct chrome-surround grille.

After the TRD Sport comes the Limited. Versatility and refinement are this trim level's standout features. It offers leather-trimmed seats, a power-operated liftgate, and a third row of seats that is easy to access. While an eight-passenger seating configuration comes standard, you can opt instead for a seven-seat design that includes two captain's chairs in the second row. The liftgate in this trim has a convenient hands-free mechanism to make loading and unloading cargo much easier. While the same audio and infotainment system comes standard, you have the option of upgrading to a premier audio system with navigation.

The Platinum is the highest trim level offered. This versatile SUV also comes with leather seats, but they are heated and ventilated for maximum climate control. The Platinum gives you a premier standard infotainment system with enhanced speakers and more amenities, including app connectivity and integrated navigation. Along with the infotainment system in front, back seat passengers can stay entertained with a Blu-Ray disc player. Chrome-accented wheels give the Platinum a distinct look from the outside.

But to prevent accidents in the first place, it has an array of driver-assist amenities, including rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring.
