What's New For the 2021 Toyota 4Runner?

The 2021 Toyota 4Runner doesn't get significant changes; however, the 4Runner lineup expands this year with a new trim, the Trail Special Edition. No matter which trim of the 4Runner you choose, rest assured you'll get a rugged exterior design with power and capability to match. The 2021 4Runner also receives a few trim-specific changes, including new paint colors for the Trail Special Edition. Class-leading safety features, innovative technology, and a handful of luxury touches continue to make the 4Runner one of the most popular SUVs on the road.

2021 4Runner Is Impressive No Matter Which Trim You Choose

There are nine trims available for the 2021 Toyota 4Runner. The first is called the SR5. With this trim, you'll get Toyota's award-winning safety package, the Safety Sense P, as a standard feature. The base trim's exterior is made for the trails with skid plates and fog lights. In contrast, its interior is made for entertaining and delighting with a 120V power outlet and an infotainment system that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Trail Special Edition follows with 17-inch wheels and a roof rack. The third trim, called the TRD Off-Road, adds crawl control, multiple off-road settings, and a locking rear differential. The Premium gets heated seats and upgraded upholstery, and heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals are also standard on the Premium trim. Next is the Venture, which has a roof cargo rack, dark gray wheels, and a black-accented exterior.

The TRD Pro comes next with all-terrain tires, a custom skid plate, and a standard sunroof. This trim also has a 15-speaker JBL stereo. The Limited gets leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and keyless entry, while the Nightshade Edition adds black exterior accents and more chrome.
