If happiness is a warm puppy, then the Doggie Street Festival must be heaven on earth! Returning to Phoenix for a second year, this FREE event unites animal lovers around the Valley for one important cause: ending pet homelessness.
The Doggie Street Festival was founded in 2009 in San Diego, and has since spread to a handful of cities throughout the U.S. Bringing together various governmental agencies, animal shelters and pet rescues, the festival is a terrific place to find a new fur-ever friend. Whether you are looking for a petite pup or a heftier hound, an older dog or a pooch with energy to spare, you are sure to find the perfect companion here. Or, if you are more feline-friendly, there are several cats up for adoption, too.
The DSF isn’t just for those who are looking to adopt; it’s also open to those who are already dog moms and dads. There is a lot to check out at the festival, such as informational resources for new owners and seasoned pet parents alike. Animal professionals and veterinarians will be on site to educate about training, pet health, spay/neuter options and more. It’s a wonderful opportunity to receive expert advice and get any questions you have answered.
The festival is fun for the whole family—including the fur children you already have! Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome to join in on the fun. Everyone will enjoy perusing the variety of food and product and service vendors, and little ones will especially delight in a special kids art area.
