The 2025 espnW: Women + Sports Summit in Ojai, CA, was a memorable moment for women athletes and Toyota. The Toyota Everyday Heroes program is something Toyota is very proud of, and 2025 was the 10th annual class of Toyota Everyday Heroes. Girls and women were recognized for their contributions in the world of sport, and they received a tidy $15,000 sum for those contributions.

The 10th Class of Toyota Everyday Heroes

Toyota ambassador Jess Sims was along for the ride at the event, presenting girls and women with their award at the espnW: Women + Sport Summit, a monumental event that has been held for the last 13 years. Over three days, Toyota showcased their 2026 RAV4, 2025 Toyota 4Runner, and, of course, the girls and women they honored with Toyota Everyday Heroes. The announcement was inspiring.

"Toyota is proud to honor Jessica Carter of HER Sports and Amberly Klam of Texas Fury as the 2025 Everyday Heroes for their outstanding work using sports to create opportunities and empowerment within their communities." That was the announcement made by MJ Kroll, a senior manager of media at Toyota Motor North America.

Jessica Carter is a former college basketball player and native Virginian. She founded HER Sports, a non-profit organization that helps girls in Jessica's community benefit the most from sports. To Jessica, it's about equal opportunity to succeed. Her program serves about 400 girls and includes four central programs.

Amberly Klam was also honored by Toyota in their latest class of Everyday Heroes. She started the Texas Fury flag football organization and currently encourages girls to participate in this rather new opportunity in sports. Klam was inspired by her daughter Ashlea's interest in flag football and wants other girls to have the chance to play this incredible sport.

As for Toyota, they were thrilled to be a part of espnW's excellent Women + Sport Summit yet again and were honored to showcase some of their latest technology for people who attended. It was a great three days for athletes and for Toyota itself. They look forward to continuing their participation in espnW's many events that help people around the world get the most out of sports.
